A protected archipelago a short boat ride from Peniche, the Berlengas combine dramatic cliffs, clear water and a strictly limited number of daily visitors.
The islands are reached by boat from Peniche harbour, with access limited during the high season to protect the reserve. Exact schedules, operators and visitor caps change from year to year and should be confirmed locally before travelling.
